Latour-Marliac Water Lily Gardens (5 minutes)

Castelmoron-sur-Lot (5 minutes walk)

Hire bicycles or enjoy the River Lot by boat or canoe. The marina is a lovely place to stop for an ice cream or evening stroll. 

Insider tip: Finish your visit with an ice cream beside the marina and enjoy watching life on the river as the sun begins to set.

Penne-d'Agenais (25 minutes)

One of France's "Plus Beaux Villages", with cobbled streets, artisan shops and spectacular views from the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Peyragude.

Insider tip: Wear comfortable shoes—the climb to the basilica is well worth it for the magnificent views over the Lot Valley.

Z'Animoland (20 minutes)

Perfect for families with children, combining a zoo with rides and outdoor attractions.

Insider tip: Allow a full day to make the most of everything the park has to offer, especially if you're visiting with younger children.

Monflanquin (40 minutes)

A perfectly preserved bastide town with arcaded squares and traditional markets.

Insider tip: Enjoy a leisurely coffee beneath the arcades before exploring the charming streets and independent shops.

Villeréal (45 minutes)

One of France's finest bastides, famous for its wooden market hall and lively atmosphere

Insider tip: Saturday morning is market day and one of the best times to experience the village at its liveliest.

Issigeac & Sunday Market (50 minutes)

One of the most beautiful medieval villages in south-west France, Issigeac is famous for its winding streets, half-timbered houses and welcoming atmosphere. Every Sunday morning, the village comes alive with one of the region's best-loved markets, where local producers, artisans and traders fill the streets with fresh produce, cheeses, charcuterie, flowers, crafts and regional specialities.

Insider tip: Arrive before 10:00 a.m. for easier parking and a more relaxed stroll through the market before it becomes busy. Afterwards, explore the medieval streets and enjoy lunch at one of the village cafés.

Château de Bonaguil (50 minutes)

One of France's finest medieval castles and well worth a day trip.

Insider tip: Allow at least half a day to explore the castle properly, and wear comfortable footwear for the many towers, staircases and walkways.
